iPhones Might Soon Drop Lightning Cables

It’s looking even more likely iPhones will soon drop lightning cables, as all smartphones sold in the European Union will have to use USB-C ports by fall 2024. This will include Apple’s iPhone and other electronic devices such as portable video game consoles, tablets, laptops, etc.

According to The Verge, this legislation has been in the works for more than a decade, with both parties agreeing to make the change. The legislation will still need to be approved by both the European Union Parliament and Council later this year, though it seems very likely the law will pass.

It was previously reported that the current Apple products that still use lightning chargers are Airpods, Apple TV remote, the MagSafe battery pack, the MagSafe Duo charger, and the iPhone. The iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Mini, and Macs have already switched to USB-C.

Last year Apple openly criticized the move, telling Reuters that the legislation “stifles innovation rather than encouraging …

Inside Review

A world, broken at the hands of technological progress, decays in silence and darkness. Cowed and enslaved people shuffle mindlessly through the streets. Overseers dressed in masks and black clothes stand at the corners, waiting for one of the slaves to fall out of line, watching the soulless masses as they are forced to jump and dance. A featureless boy in the midst of it all walks through this dystopia wearing a red shirt, one of the only touches of color in this oppressive world.

This is Inside, the second game from Limbo developer Playdead. Like Limbo, the gameplay is simple: you have to walk, jump, and grab objects in order to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. Ultimately, however, the game is about your journey through a tyrannical, unknowable, and apocalyptic world. Over the course of a few hours, you descend ever deeper into the heart of a malicious and immense construct that threatens to suffocate agency and humanity.

Judge Approves Activision Blizzard's $18 Million Settlement In Gender Discrimination And Harassment Case

In September 2021, Activision Blizzard agreed to terms to settle one of its high-profile gender discrimination lawsuits, and that settlement has now been approved. A federal court on Tuesday announced that it would approve Activision Blizzard’s proposed settlement with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which is the next step toward creating an $18 million fund to compensate and make amends to workers affected by gender discrimination and harassments claims within the company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Activision will create an $18 million fund for eligible claimants and take steps to enhance its “policies, practices, and training” to help prevent harassment and discrimination in the future. Additionally, Activision Blizzard said it will work with a “neutral, third-party equal employment opportunity consultant” to provide oversight on Activision Blizzard’s compliance. This person will be a non-Activision Blizzard employee approved by the EEOC. This …

Lies Of P- How To Get More Pulse Cells

There are certain gameplay mechanics that tend to show up in every Soulslike game, and one of those is a limited healing flask that can have its uses replenished after every visit to a checkpoint. That trend continues in Lies of P via a healing item known as Pulse Cells. While you’ll only have a few to keep you alive in the game’s early hours, you can earn up to seven more Pulse Cells as you continue your perilous journey. Here’s how to get them.

How to get more Pulse Cells in Lies of P

You’ll begin Lies of P with three Pulse Cells, but you’ll be able to gain more in a variety of ways. For starters, you’ll automatically be given a couple of extra Pulse Cells as you continue through the main story and speak to NPCs. To get even more, however, you’ll need to begin upgrading your P-Organ phases. By investing in the P-Organ upgrades, you can build up plenty of extra Pulse Cell uses–but due to the rarity of the Quartz needed to do so, it’ll be a relatively slow process tha…

Legend Of Zelda Is "Dying For A Cinematic Treatment," Director Says

Nintendo is teaming up with Sony and Marvel producer Avi Arad for a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie. Director Wes Ball recently told Variety that Zelda is one of the last “untapped properties” that is ripe for a movie and that he’s excited to get to work on the film.

“I can’t say a lot about it, but Zelda is hugely important to me. It’s up there with Star Wars for me in terms of what shaped me as a kid,” Ball said. “Talking about adventure? That’s the thing. It’s like one of the last untapped properties that is dying for a cinematic treatment. But we’ll see what happens.”

Zelda has a dedicated and passionate fanbase, and Ball knows something about that having previously directed the Maze Runner movies. He said he got a “taste” of the “expectation game” with those films, and now he’s feeling it again directing Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. For Zelda, though, he might be facing the highest expectations of his career.

“Obviously you can’t have that while yo…
