There are certain gameplay mechanics that tend to show up in every Soulslike game, and one of those is a limited healing flask that can have its uses replenished after every visit to a checkpoint. That trend continues in Lies of P via a healing item known as Pulse Cells. While you’ll only have a few to keep you alive in the game’s early hours, you can earn up to seven more Pulse Cells as you continue your perilous journey. Here’s how to get them.
How to get more Pulse Cells in Lies of P
You’ll begin Lies of P with three Pulse Cells, but you’ll be able to gain more in a variety of ways. For starters, you’ll automatically be given a couple of extra Pulse Cells as you continue through the main story and speak to NPCs. To get even more, however, you’ll need to begin upgrading your P-Organ phases. By investing in the P-Organ upgrades, you can build up plenty of extra Pulse Cell uses–but due to the rarity of the Quartz needed to do so, it’ll be a relatively slow process that won’t be complete until near the end of the game.

Are you ready for Lego bicycle kicks and massive Lego riots after a controversial red card? 2K Games is hoping so, having reportedly secured the rights to adapt Lego into a variety of sports and racing titles. The first of these is apparently coming this year with a very experienced developer in charge.
According to VGC, 2K Games signed a “new multi-game partnership with Lego” that will see the company producing a number of licensed titles, the first of which are a soccer game and an open-world racing game. The soccer game, planned for release this year, is reportedly being developed by Sumo Digital, while the racing game is in the works at 2K’s own studio Visual Concepts. It’s a somewhat odd decision on paper, seeing as Sumo Digital has made multiple racing games and Visual Concepts has worked exclusively on sports titles since 2007.

After player feedback and complaints, Diablo IV’s meant-to-be-hard Abbatoir of Zir event is having its difficulty significantly scaled down.
The Abbatoir of Zir event kicked off on December 5 as part of Diablo IV’s vampire-themed Season 2, and was intended as a way for max-level players with optimal gear to further challenge themselves after having already conquered the game’s level 100 Nightmare dungeons. Even so, players complained about just how much harder the event–which functions similarly to Greater Rifts in Diablo III in that players must kill a certain number of enemies within a time limit–was to the game’s other endgame activities.
It’s apparently been 18 years since a major studio has released a movie on VHS, but that drought will be broken when Alien: Romulus comes out for the outdated platform on December 3. That’s right: An actual tape of the sci-fi horror movie is getting made, though it will be a limited edition.
The official Alien account on X shared that Alien: Romulus writer/director Fede Álvarez revealed the special VHS release at Beyond Fest over the weekend. Artist Matt Ferguson has created the cover for the tape, which will come out at the same time as the Alien: Romulus Blu-ray. The previous major studio release on VHS was reportedly A History of Violence in 2006, according to Inverse. 20th Century Studios–now owned by Disney–is behind the Alien: Romulus VHS launch.
